presences
Presences is a series of 30 unique images created in 1987, exploring life's interconnectedness and the essence of being. The works engage with the elemental forces of earth, sun, sea, and sky, focusing on the relationships between these natural elements and between individuals and their surroundings. The series reflects the balance of individuality within unity, inviting growth through equal, harmonious relationships.

sisyphus suite
Elstein, in response to Albert Camus’s 1942 philosophical essay The Myth of Sisyphus, created The Sisyphus Suite (1978–80), a series of eight screenprints. Each print was made using screenprint on Arches paper, in an edition of 30, measuring 106 x 78 cm.

This selection of individual prints reflect an ongoing fascination with the natural world, and the relationships between individuals and their surroundings, explored through form and vibrant colours.

Meetings
These images are drawn from a journal entry made during Cecile Elstein’s Mandarah II Bursary Scheme (1984–85).

Paul’s People is a portrait series by Cecile Elstein, created as an acknowledgment of the carers, doctors, and visitors who supported her son Paul during his illness.
